Congressman Rosendale Proposes Amendments To De-List Bears, Wolves & Sage Grouse

In: News Headlines

While gray wolves are under pressure from a federal delisting and increased hunting in some Rocky Mountain states, wildlife officials heard a number of detailed options Thursday in Lamar Colorado. They heard from a technical working group composed of various federal agencies and wolf experts from Montana and Oregon.

Representative Matt Rosendale recently presented a number of amendments to a house bill targeting the conservation of global species to de-list gray wolves and grizzly bears as endangered species and block the designation of the western sage-grouse as an endangered species. He explained his rationale during a Natural Resources Committee meeting.
