Evacuations have been ordered along Finley Point after heavy winds pushed a wildfire to the shore of Flathead Lake. The Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation reported the Boulder 2700 was human-caused and has burned about 1,100 acres as of Sunday. Thanks to the evacuation, no one has been injured, but 15 homes and five outbuildings were lost to the fire. The evacuation applies to all residents between mile markers 6 and 13 on Highway 35, which is currently closed between Polson and mile marker 15.
