COVID-19 Variants Leading To Increase In Cases Across Montana

Montana added 79 new cases of COVID-19 Monday bringing the state’s active case count to 492. There are 62 active hospitalizations out of 5,599 total hospitalizations. With the spread of the Delta variant along with the Alpha and Gamma variants, hospitalizations are increasing, particularly with the Delta variant. There is concern for an increase in cases as vaccination rates in younger populations has fallen flat. Of the eligible population Montana has fully immunized 48% of its population.
