Montana reported 52 COVID-19 cases in an update Sunday to the state case mapping and information website. There are 1,036 active cases and a total of 1,598 Montanans have died because of COVID-19. Active hospitalizations for COVID-19 were reported to be at 59 statewide.
A grizzly bear was euthanized last week by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Wildlife Services after it was confirmed to have killed a cow in the Big Snowy Mountain south of Lewistown. The bear was first reported after a remote camera capture images of it feeing on a cow carcass. The male bear weighted 447 pound an was estimated to be 4 to 6 years old.
