Life expectancy is falling at a historic rate but there are isolated counties that are countering the trend including Liberty County in Montana. The Big Sky Business Journal reports it has the third highest rank in the U.S. with a life expectancy at birth of 91.2 years. That is about five years longer than the national average of 79.2 years. Other Montana counties with very long living residents include Judith Basin, Granit and Sweet Grass Counties.
