Cooler temperatures, higher relative humidity, less wind and additional resources all aided in making good progress on the human-caused Robertson Draw Fire Wednesday, which has reached more than 21,000 acres. Approximately 200 personnel are assigned to the incident with more on the way. FEMA has authorized use of federal funds to assist firefighting costs for the fire near Red Lodge.

The fire started Sunday. Monday afternoon, in an unsolicited call to our newsroom, Bill Harrison, who owns a home along the Robertson Draw Road, described the scene he saw that morning after the fire experienced extreme fire behavior and growth.
