Access to the digital world requires quality internet service. There are 10,000 people living on the Blackfeet reservation. According to the Bureau of Indian Affairs less than half of the reservation has standard broadband access according to the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Included in the CARES Act passed last year was $38.6 million for the Blackfeet Indian Tribe in COVID relief funds and it spent about $8 million of that on upgrades to its digital infrastructure.
