Former Montana Governor Stan Stephens a longtime state legislator and 1996 inductee to the Montana Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame died Saturday in Kalispell after a period of declining health at the age of 91.  Stephens was a Republican from Havre who was born in Calgary Albert, but made his way to Montana through a custom cutting combine operation. He landed a job announcing and writing at KOJM in Havre the station he came to co-own with partner Lyle Leeds in 1965 still to this day a Northern News Network affiliate.

Senator Steve Daines announced his Senate resolution designating the week of April 17th through the 25th as National Park Week. He’s looking forward to bringing back the grandeur they have in abundance.
