The federal eviction moratorium through the CARES Act expired Friday putting an estimated 31,000 Montanans who can’t pay the rent in the next four months at risk of being evicted. Montana Legal Services provides legal assistance to Montanans with limited to moderate income who can’t afford to hire a private attorney to help keep them from being evicted.
