The Lump Gulch 1,500 acre fire near Clancy which ignited amid high winds Saturday is 35% contained with no new growth due to rain. During a Tuesday 2020 wildfire season briefing Department of Natural Resources and Conservation Director John Tubbs said it was good practice for firefighters going into the fire season during the COVID-19 pandemic.
