There’s a 4.5 mil stretch of Highway 569 between Anaconda and the Big Hole River that has steep tight curves and rough roads where frost heaves and has knee deep potholes. Anaconda-Deer Lodge County officials hope to land a $12 million federal grant to straighten out the “S” curves put in hydraulic controls and reconstruct it from Clear Creek to the top of Mill Creek Pass.
