Montana State Fund announced a record tying $40 million dividend for policyholders Tuesday. The state’s largest workers’ compensation insurance company has paid a dividend to employers every year since 1999 as a direct result of better-than-expected investment market performance and positive workplace safety records. Dividend distribution will begin Friday and is scheduled to conclude by the middle of November.
