The Montana Supreme Court Chief Justice Mike McGrath has signaled to lower courts that it’s time to loosen the restrictions around courtrooms that went into place early in the COVID-19 pandemic last year. He has directed the lower courts to scale back requirements on face masks and remote hearings.
Right to Repair legislation would require makers of farm equipment and consumer electronics respectively to provide consumers and independent technicians with critical repair information so that they can quickly fix their equipment and get on with their work. Now manufacturers like Apple and John Deere want to be the only people who can fix it and set whatever prices they want for parts and service. Senator Jon Tester says it’s not fair to farmers or consumers.
