This year’s American Lung Association “State of the Air” report finds Montana’s air quality for short-term particle pollution remains a cause for concern. The report’s findings for the Big Sky Country are consistent with a broader trend of worsening short-term particle pollution throughout the western United States due to climate change. Induced heat and draught is increasing the number and size of wildfires resulting in more smoke to breathe in.

The Billings crime scene is busy these days with a homicide last week and another investigation continued Tuesday into an incident in which a Billings woman was shot in the head Monday at a South Side apartment. No arrests have been made. Police Chief Rich St. John.
