Draft legislation setting up Montana’s recreational marijuana program diverges from an initiative Montanans passed in November so conservation and outdoor groups want lawmakers to provide more funding for public lands. This week groups rallied at the Capitol to call attention to the difference between the initiative and the legislation. Whitney Tawney head of Montana Conservation Voters says it does provide some revenue to conservation.
