A bill in the Montana Legislature would allow farmers and ranchers to sell products like raw milk and meat directly to customers but public-health experts say it skirts regulations aimed at preventing food-borne illnesses from spreading. Mallory Scharf a public health policy specialist for the Missoula City-County Health Department says it cuts out regulators almost completely.
