New construction in Billings during the first four months of 2020 happened at a faster pace by a significant margin that it was last year. From January to April the Magic City saw $99 million in new residential and commercial construction remodels and additions fencing and roofing project. That’s $34.3 million more than n 2019.

The Missoula City Council and Board of County Commissioners will hold a virtual hearing this evening beginning at 6 on The Climate Ready Missoula Plan. They will then vote on whether to adopt the 29 goals and 77 strategies for Missoula County to adapt to the County’s projected rise in average annual temperatures by 5 to 8 degrees by 2100.
Ronan Women Sentenced to Prison in Embezzelment Case
Kerry Yeager admitted stealing more than $300,000 from her employer and evading paying income taxes. The Ronan woman was sentenced Friday to 25 months in prison three years of supervised release and ordered to pay restitution for wire fraud aggravated identity theft and tax evasion.

Northern Cheyenne Extends Stay at Home Order
The Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation has extended its stay at home order and curfew until May 31st in an effort to stop the spread of COVID-19. The reservation has not seen a positive case of the coronavirus. The stay at home order was originally issued March 28th.
