The governor also declared November 13 as High School House Day in Montana, aligning the program with the state’s 406 JOBS Initiative to strengthen workforce development. Highlighting ongoing efforts to expand skilled trades education and community partnerships.
Bill Mercer Sworn In as Montana U.S. District Court Judge, Filling Vacancy in Missoula
Bill Mercer was sworn in as Montana’s newest U.S. District Court judge Wednesday, four months after his nomination by President Donald Trump. The ceremony was conducted by Chief U.S. District Judge Brian Morris at the federal courthouse in Missoula. Mercer fills the vacancy left by Judge Dana Christensen’s senior. A former assistant U.S. attorney, Montana U.S. attorney, and acting U.S. Associate Attorney General, Mercer also was a partner at Holland & Hart. He served four terms in the Montana House of Representatives from 2018 until resigning on November 10.
