Federal Eviction Moratorium Expiration To Affect Estimated 31,000 Montana Renters If Not Helped

Friday the federal eviction moratorium created by the CARES Act in late March expired. Montana Legal Services in Helena provides legal assistance to Montanans with limited to moderate income who can’t afford to hire private attorneys. Senior Attorney Amy Hall says help is available if needed but she says things could get much worse if Congress doesn’t act soon.
