Montana 2nd In Population Growth This Year

Population growth in the United States dipped to its lowest rate since the nation’s founding during the first year of the pandemic as coronavirus curtailed immigration delayed pregnancies and killed hundreds of thousands of U.S. residents. According to U.S. Census figures released Tuesday, Montana was tied for 2nd in the country in terms of percent growth increasing by 1.7% reaching 1,104,271 individuals this past July. That bumped Montana from the 44th largest state to 43rd swapping places with the state of Rhode Island.
