A fire south of the city of Great Falls burned 11 homes as well as sheds and other small buildings Wednesday. The Gibson Flats Fire can now be counted as one of the most destructive wildfire events within recent memory in Great Falls. Also Wednesday hundreds of people in the town of Denton in central Montana were forced to flee flames pushed by strong winds.
