Afghan evacuee Zabihullah Mohmand was recently charged with rape in Missoula. Governor Greg Gianforte and GOP members of the state’s congressional delegation called on President Joe Biden to halt Afghan resettlements in Montana alleging he had not been adequately vetted. According to the U.S. Secretary of State and U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security he had no prior criminal history and completed a “rigorous and multi-layered” vetting process before he entered the country.
