This is National Energy Awareness Month. The average American household spends at least $2,000 per year on utilities and another $1,568 on motor fuel and oil. With U.S. energy consumption having declined by 7% last year the Wallet Hub today released its report on 2021’s most energy efficient states. The personal-finance website compared the auto-and-home energy efficiency in 48 states excluding Alaska and Hawaii due to data limitations. Montana ranks 29th.

The energy Industry has begun transitioning from carbon-based energy towards cleaner renewables but it will take some time to completely change over.
