New bipartisan legislation in the U.S. Congress will fund locally-led efforts to help prevent extinctions and help wildlife thrive. The Recovering America’s Wildland Act will send approximately $28 million to Montana each year which Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks will use to help protect and recover the 217 species of concern in the state such as the Westslope Cutthroat Trout, Canada lynx and the Greater Sage Grouse.
