Bozeman Mayor Talks About New Requirements For Metropolitan Classification

The federal government is updating its definition of metropolitan areas doubling the minimum number of residents required in a city’s urban core to 100,000 people. Bozeman does not meet the criteria. This week, at a Senate hearing, Senator Steve Daines spoke with Bozeman Mayor Cyndy Andrus about the importance of keeping things as they are so cities like Bozeman continue receiving the same amount of federal support.
