Governor Greg Gianforte is objecting to a U.S. government proposal to alter water releases from the Fort Peck Reservoir to help the dinosaur-like pallid sturgeon endangered fish species. Army Corps officials said Thursday they were working on a detailed response to Gianforte’s concerns. A final decision is expected in November.
