Rural communities are big beneficiaries from the $1.9 billion COVID relief bill Matt Hildreth head of Rural Organizing dot org says there’s a long list of benefits such as $100 million in rental assistance for U-S-D-A subsidized rural properties $10 billion to expand broadband and a 15% increase in food assistance payments known as SNAP through September. Rural households are more likely to participate in that program according to Hildreth.
