Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is looking for public comment on a proposal to replace five camp spots that were undercut by Rock Creek at the Water Birch fishing access site south of Roberts.
The deadline for public comment is noon March 18, 2021.
During the past several years, Rock Creek has cut into the fishing access site, destroying five of the nine camp spots and requiring FWP to move one of two outhouses. The department wants to build five new camp spots and move the latrine to a spot near the new sites. The construction would cost approximately $50,000 and be completed this spring and early summer.
