A new Montana Department of Justice report has found the majority of people reported missing in the state are found or recovered and statewide reporting accuracy of  missing people has likely increased. In the three year period of the study from 2017 through 2019 there were a little more than 5,500 missing person reports but more than 2,000 of them were for people who were reported missing multiple times.
