Montana – Secretary of State Holding Off on Final Primary Election Decision

In: COVID-19 News

With concerns about the coronavirus Secretary of State Corey Stapleton is holding off on giving directions on the June 2nd primary election for the next week or so. The secretary of state has stringent constitutional and statutory requirements in how elections are run but Stapleton won’t say what he would do if the governor used emergency powers to make a decision about elections. He said Tuesday Montana’s two Senators may introduce legislation this week regarding elections.
