New Program Starting To Build Other Herds Descended From Original Bison Herds In The American West

Thirty million bison once roamed the American West and now only 21,000 remain. Last week for the first time female bison were transferred out of Yellowstone National Park in a new program to build other herds. Chamois Anderson with Defenders Of Wildlife says the bison in Yellowstone are highly prized as direct descendants of the original herds.
