Great Falls – Judge Receives the Support of Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association in Lawsuit

The Montana Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association is backing Cascade County District Judge Elizabeth Best who was sued by the state Corrections Department after she ordered eight inmates who had been sentenced to the Department’s custody be  delivered to its correctional facilities. The association says the Department of Corrections does not have the authority to suspend transfers of inmates across the state.
