Montana is considering setting statewide regulations covering the disposal of radioactive oilfield waste. Currently regulations are addressed on a case by case basis when landfills are licensed. A new draft regulation would allow a higher concentration of radioactive material per load dumped. Public Policy Director at the Department of Environmental quality Rebecca Harbed explains.
