Billings – Rimrock Mall Suspends Hours of Operation

The Management of Rimrock Mall in Billings has temporarily suspended hours of operation and will it remain closed until Monday April 6th because of coronavirus.  Some restaurants and other service retailers with outside access may be open at various hours to provide essential services.

Butte – Courthouse closed to foot traffic

The Butte-Silver Bow Courthouse is closed to most public foot traffic until next Tuesday March 31st  because of coronavirus concerns but offices are staffed and ready to help via phone emails and the internet. Some hearings and inmate appearances could include videoconferencing.

Helena – Costco Hires Helena Police for Security

The Helena Police Department has been contracted by Costco to provide security due to large crowds and not because of any incidents. Costco has seen a major run of shoppers due to fears about the coronavirus. The officers are being paid overtime by the department and Costco is paying the entirety of the cost of service.

Two Bigfork businesses Whistling Andy distillery and The Good Stuff Botanicals have created Top Shelf Sanitizer for the health care industry, the private sector, and the public. Top Shelf Sanitizer is being produced in accordance with FDA guidelines at the required 80% of alcohol content and the distillery is open for curbside pick-up.

Montana – US DPHHS Releasing $80 Million for Indian Health

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will release $80 million in COVID-19 relief funds to the Indian Health Service for dissemination to Tribes tribal organizations and urban Indian Organizations. The $80 million is double what Congress allocated in a bill that was signed into law March 6th by President Donald Trump.
