Bozeman construction company Barnard Construction has received a $569 million addition to an existing contract awarded in May 2019 to build a total of about 37 miles of border wall between the United States and Mexico. The $569 million addition brings its total to over one billion dollars.

Investigation Ongoing for Fire Near Plains
Western Montana firefighters are doing mop up work on a 40-acre wildfire on the Henry Creek drainage about 5 miles east of Plains on the Lolo National Forest. The cause has not been determined for the fire which was located about 2 miles behind a U.S. Forest Service gate. An investigation is ongoing.
