SBA Reports Statewide Loan Numbers
The Small Business Administration issued state-level numbers Tuesday. Through Monday 10,372 Montana businesses had been approved for loans totaling $1 billion 293 million. The Paycheck Protection Program offers federally backed loans to cover SBA up to 8 weeks of payroll and related overhead.
Additional Funding to Increase Access to Affordable Housing
Another $3 million is coming to Montana to increase access to affordable housing across the state. The grant will help build and preserve the housing supply for low income Montanans distributed through the state and will be available through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Housing Trust Fund.
U.S. DHHS Directs Millions to Child Care Providers in Montana
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will be directing $10,113,887 to support Montana child care providers financially during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Tuesday the Small Business Administration made the Paycheck Protection Program to bars which had been shut out of the program if one-third of their revenue came from gaming.
