Montana State University Enrolls Record 17,165 Students Under New President Brock Tessman

Montana State University President Brock Tessman became the 13th President of Montana’s land-grant university in early July. He is presiding over his first fall semester at the 132-year old institution where the enrollment is a school record 17,165 students. Speaking with Tom Schultz on Voices of Montana, President Tessman says the next step in the enrollment process – retention – is also strong and will remain a key focus of his adminstration:

A widespread multistate outage on Thursday affected over 95,000 Wyoming customers and parts of South Dakota, triggered by two tripped power lines near Medicine Bow, Wyoming. Commissioner of Insurance and State Auditor James Brown and the Montana Land Board approved projects expected to generate $579,000 in new revenue for state trust funds and public schools during their November meeting. Key actions include timber sales, cabin and homesite revenues, and easements, reinforcing the board’s role in managing trust lands for educational benefits.
