Montana Expanding Nursing Programs to Address Healthcare Staffing Shortage
Montana is expanding nursing education to combat the healthcare staffing shortage. The University of Providence launched an ABSN program in Great Falls. Montana State University is building a new nursing campus in Kalispell, and Carroll College is accepting applications for its 15-month accelerated nursing program starting in May 2026. There are 15 nursing programs statewide, according to Nursing School 411.
Free Workshop on Supporting Farmers’ Mental Health
A free workshop designed to arm individuals with the tools to help farmers and ranchers in a mental crisis is set for Tuesday, November 18th. Jody Koterba, the Education Director for the Montana Farmers Union, has some disturbing reasons why the workshop is needed
