Montana Sees Decline In Gas Prices
Average gasoline prices in Montana have fallen 3.1 cent per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.24 a gallon. Gas is 2.2 cents a gallon lower than a month ago and 27.7 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. According to GasBuddy the cheapest station in Montana was $2.86 per gallon Monday while the most expensive was $3.89 for a gallon of regular.
Judge blocks Trump administration from cutting Planned Parenthood funding
U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani blocked the Trump administration from cutting funding to Planned Parenthood Monday as part of the GOP’s new tax cut and health law. $2 million in Title X funding for planning services in Montana had been held up. Montana is one of seven states where this funding had been completely frozen. The Boston judge granted Planned Parenthood’s request for a temporary injunction while the lawsuit progresses.
Montana Road Maintenance Not On The Top Ten List
Montana is a big state with over 73 thousand miles of road to maintain. According to the social site JustUSAHistory Montana did not make the Top 10 list for the states with the best quality roads. Making the Top 10 list for states with the best quality roads are Idaho North Dakota South Dakota and Wyoming all of the states that surround Montana.

With Americans having increased their collective credit card debt by $52 billion last year totaling about $1.3 trillion today WalletHub released its report on the States Where It Will Take the Longest to Pay Off Credit Card Debt and Montana ranks 14th. The personal finance website drew upon data from TransUnion the Federal Reserve and the U.S. Census Bureau.
Proposed regulation changes aim to increase Montana wolf harvest
State wildlife officials are looking to loosen regulations and increase quotas on wolf hunting and trapping for the 2025-26 season. Among potential changes is a 50% increase to both the statewide harvest quota and individual bag limits. Public comments are being accepted through August 4th. The Montana Fish and Wildlife Commission will vote on whether to accept the agency’s proposal August 21st.

Montana schools can now apply for reimbursement from the state up to $700 for automated external defibrillators which help people going through cardiac arrest.
