Montana Conservation Voters Oppose BLM’s William Perry Pendley As Acting Director While Interior Appeals Ouster

A federal judge forced acting director of the Bureau of Land Management William Perry Pendley to step down Friday but he remains at the agency and the Interior Department has said it will challenge the ruling. Aaron Murphy with Montana Conservation Voters says conservation groups opposed his nomination from the start because he’s a former oil-and-gas attorney who has long supported the sale of public lands.
