American Farm Bureau President Zippy Duvall on Ag, Trade, ESA, WOTUS, and More
(26 minutes) Our Montana way of life has long-been rooted in agriculture, an industry that has seen many changes over the years, and especially over the last two decades. American Farm Bureau Federation President Zippy Duvall was a special guest on the program Wednesday, as Voices was on location at the Montana Farm Bureau Federation’s annual convention to visit with leaders of the farm and ranch community. Both those organizations were established in 1919 and are celebrating their centennial this year.
Issues important to the ag industry touch our Montana lives in many ways, and we discussed the full gamut of policies from trade, to public lands, to Waters of the US, and the next generation of farmers and ranchers. Along with Duvall, Montana Farm Bureau President Hans McPherson, and Gil Gasper, Chairman of the Young Farmer & Rancher Committee, were on the show (see part two).
