A Leading U.S. Scientist Educates on Glyphosate
Do you use a herbicide? Have you ever used Roundup? For over 40 years it has been a market leader in commercial and residential applications. Disturbing reports that the main chemical in Roundup, glyphosate, may be a carcinogen has lead to literally tens of thousands of claims against the maker of Roundup, Bayer.
If the chemical is definitively linked to cancer its use would be virtually outlawed, but the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has found the herbicide is not likely to be carcinogenic to humans. The report mirrored the independent findings of nearly a dozen international health and environmental organizations.
A leading research scientist on the topic is Dr. Jason Ferrell, Professor and Director of the Center for Aquatic and Invasive Plants from the University of Florida. Listen to the podcast as Dr. Ferrell, who was recently in Montana for a presentation on the topic, explains the issue from a scientific perspective.
