Annual Football Awards Show!

So who was the best of the best from the 2018 high school football season?  Here is my list:

Best Game That I Announced:  That would have to be the “AA” title game between Billings West and Flathead.  In the cold and the snow West High stopped the Braves three times near the goal line!

Top Team:  Now this was not easy at all to pick a winner.  We had four teams that finished the season without a loss.  But the best of the best….the Fairfield Eagles.  This past season the class “B” champs not only went undefeated but they also only game up 9 touch downs all year!

Top Player:  I am going with Flathead running back Blake Counts.  The 5-11 205 pound senior had one of the greatest seasons of all time.  In the post season over three games he ran for 303, 228 and 182!  For the season 2,572 yards, a Flathead school record!

Coach of the Year:  You know it was not that long away that the Billings West High Golden Bears went 0-10 and now they are state champs.  My coach of the year award goes to Bears head coach Rob Stanton.
