Kalispell Regional Healthcare has expanded its visitor restrictions in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Effective this morning Kalispell Regional Medical Center will not allow visitors. Exceptions are only for parents end-of-life situations and essential caregivers.

MT State – State Fund Gives Staff Personal Planning Day

Montana State Fund Montana’s largest workers compensation insurance carrier will be closed today to allow employees time for personal planning in the wake of the Coronavirus. Currently Montana State Fund does plan to reopen Tuesday for normal business hours and anticipates minimal disruption to customers and benefit recipients.

MT State of Emergency Amended to Align with Feds

Governor Steve Bullock has amended Montana’s current state of emergency to align it with the federal state of emergency announced by President Donald Trump. The state’s emergency response will be in effect so long as federal authorities believe there is a continuing coronavirus threat.

Lt Governor – Self Quarantined

Lieutenant Governor Mike Cooney has put himself in quarantine until Friday after he attended a meeting in which one of the participants later tested positive for the coronavirus. Cooney has tested negative for COVID-19 and has been asymptomatic. Staff members who attended the meeting with Cooney are under self-quarantine as well.
