The Helena Police Department has been contracted by Costco to provide security due to large crowds and not because of any incidents. Costco has seen a major run of shoppers due to fears about the coronavirus. The officers are being paid overtime by the department and Costco is paying the entirety of the cost of service.

Great Falls – Nonessential County Employees Being Sent Home
Nonessential employees are being sent home by Cascade County to minimize the spread of coronavirus at least until April 4th and some of them can work remotely. They will be paid during their time away from the office. Essential employees will remain at full staffing levels in Cascade County.

Two Bigfork businesses Whistling Andy distillery and The Good Stuff Botanicals have created Top Shelf Sanitizer for the health care industry, the private sector, and the public. Top Shelf Sanitizer is being produced in accordance with FDA guidelines at the required 80% of alcohol content and the distillery is open for curbside pick-up.
Montana – US DPHHS Releasing $80 Million for Indian Health
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will release $80 million in COVID-19 relief funds to the Indian Health Service for dissemination to Tribes tribal organizations and urban Indian Organizations. The $80 million is double what Congress allocated in a bill that was signed into law March 6th by President Donald Trump.
