| In its 8th year, the Interagency Bison Management Plan is being used to keep bison from cattle and off land where cattle may graze later in the year to avoid transmission of Brucellosis. Horseback riders and helicopters will begin hazing bison back into Yellowstone National Park today. The greatest risk of the transmission of Brucellosis comes from the tissue and fluids associated with bison birthing or abortions during bison calving season, which is entering its peak.
